Mansard Roof – This type of roof is made up of four slope, each on either side of the walls.
Gambrel Roof – Similar to a Mansard Roof.
Saltbox Roof – This is a very popular roof type because it looks so interesting from the interior.
Pyramid Roof – As the name suggest, this is a type of roof that is shaped like a pyramid.
Hip Roof – This roof is very similar to a pyramid roof. The difference is that instead of coming to a point, a hip roof meets at a ridge as seen in the picture.
Bonnet Roof – This type of roof is similar to a pyramid roof or a hip roof. The difference as seen in the picture is that it has two of the slides slope out at an angle.
Flat Roof – This type of roof is easy to identify. The benefits of a flat roof are that they are easier to construct, safer when walking on them, and generally more accessible.
Cross Gabled Roof – There are many types of gabled roofs. (Roofs that essentially look like triangles from the front of the home.)
Arched Roof – The arched roof is typically only used on a portion of the home but definitely adds to the aesthetics to the home.
Skillion Roof – This type of roof is a single sloping roof system.
